Last week, Broadsheet ’s debut food festival Dine Out took over Melbourne with 42 events across seven days.

There were gelato-topped sourdough doughnuts from Pidapipo and Masses Bagels; spicy cheese toasties from Baker Bleu and Six-Eyed Scorpion; and Negronis from Hot-Listed Sydney bar Herbs Taverne at Apollo Inn.

Across the city, restaurants teamed up for one-time-only collaborations. Here are highlights from a snack fest with Mitch Orr at Marmont; an epic party with Gerald’s Bar and Cam’s Kiosk; a collab dinner with Sydney Hungarian restaurant Corner 75 at Carlton’s Bistra; the reincarnation of Brigitte Haffner’s Gertrude Street Enoteca at Carnation Canteen; a Peruvian Chinese banquet with Moonhouse and Morena Barra; and a world-class team-up between three chefs for a sushi, laksa and steak feast at Junda Khoo’s Ho Jiak.

Plus, if you’re in Sydney this week, Dine Out continues with events in the Harbour City until Sunday August 17.
