Did you know Dinosaur Designs has stores in London and New York? Not bad for a brand that started at Sydney’s Paddington Markets in 1985 when three students began selling their polymer-clay jewellery.
They’ve since expanded into knives, bowls, vases, jugs, plates and more, but Dinosaur Designs’ original appeal hasn’t changed: each piece remains truly one of a kind. Louise Olsen’s sketches are shaped by in-house sculptors, then moulded and buffed to a translucent finish by human beings. Each piece of brightly coloured or semi-transparent resin has its own striking and unique character.
Day Ten’s prize is a large resin beetle bowl with black marble finish, and one large resin round spoon in sandy pearl, which will effortlessly lift any table setting. And of course, the winner also gets a copy of Broadsheet Melbourne Food.
Entries for the 12 Trays of Christmas competition are now closed.
The total value is $399.95.
