• 1 Hotel Melbourne restaurant From Here by Mike is celebrating truffle season with truffle dinners every night from Friday June 19 to Tuesday June 30 for $160 per person. The set menu features To Be Frank sourdough with truffled-salted butter, veal and pork lasagne with a cheese and truffle bechamel, and a truffle tiramisu.
• June is steak month at North Melbourne pub Central Club Hotel. Get $27 porterhouse steaks with handcut chips, salad and your choice of sauce every day this month. Plus, there’ll be a daily changing $55 steak and wine special, with options including an eye fillet and a glass of red wine.
• Farmer’s Daughters Wine House has introduced a Victorian cheese fondue for winter. For $55 per person, enjoy a blend of molten local cheeses – including banksia from Long Paddock – served with house-made pickles, creamy potatoes from Jones Potatoes in West Gippsland and croutons seasoned with native herbs. Plus, you can add charcuterie from Salt Kitchen and Victorian truffles.
• Etta’s Wednesday laksa nights are back for winter. Each week until Wednesday August 26, the Hot Listed restaurant will serve bowls of Nonya-style coconut curry laksa with house-made alkaline noodles for $38.
• Fitzroy Italian spot Rocco’s Bologna Discoteca is bringing its meatball subs and other dishes to Love Shack Brewing Co in Castlemaine this Sunday June 7 from 6pm. Buy a ticket to guarantee a seat.
