Coffee Roasters and Cafes Unite for the Homeless

On Friday August 5 StreetSmart is teaming up with a generous bunch of cafes and coffee roasters to bring you CafeSmart, an event that will unite coffee makers and drinkers around Australia to aid the homeless. StreetSmart is an organisation dedicated to helping small community groups, and this event presents an opportunity for baristas, cafe staff and their customers to help create positive change in their local area.

Participating cafes will be donating $1 from every coffee sold on the day, with proceeds going to local charity organisations as part of Homeless Person’s Week , which runs from August 1–7. StreetSmart will be asking the public to support the day and make sure they pop in to participating cafes with a friend (or three) to support this worthy cause. Cafes are being supported by a host of well-known roasters including Allpress, Di Bella and 5 Senses, who will be supplying discounted coffee beans to cafes on the day.
