Andrew McConnell’s Flinders Lane icon Cumulus Inc. is celebrating a decade of service this June. To mark the occasion, the diner is hosting a month of specials and celebrations to honour every customer and producer involved in the venue’s life so far.

Firstly, and perhaps most notably, the venue will begin taking reservations from June 1 for lunch, dinner and everything in between, seven days a week. Previously only available for groups of 7–14, the move will allow reservations for any number of people, at any time, on any day of the week.

The diner will also be running a number of offers throughout June as a thank you to customers and Victorian producers they’ve partnered with over the past decade.

From the kitchen there’ll be a decadent birthday cake, made with chocolate, malt and whisky, available all day, every day for anyone looking to share a celebratory slice. There will also be serving plates of ten shucked-to-order oysters for only $10.

At the bar, a selection of wines from the venue’s favourite producers will be on offer by the glass from 5pm, Friday June 29 to Sunday July 8. You’ll also find a commemorative 2017 vintage pinot noir from long-time collaborator Curly Flat Winery.

Finally, on Sunday July 22, McConnell will host a lunch upstairs at Cumulus Up Wine Bar along with business partner Jayden Ong, with a menu featuring iconic dishes from the past ten years. Each dish will represent a part of his journey as a chef, and be paired with favourite wines from the past decade at Cumulus Inc.

Since being created by McConnell and Ong in 2008, Cumulus Inc. helped set a new benchmark for dining in Melbourne with its offer of all-day dining and commitment to locally sourced premium produce. It was, and still is, a uniquely informal dining experience in a fine-dining space.
