Tickets for the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival went on sale on Friday and you may have noticed their jammed packed program floating around cafes and shops next to the summer print issue of Broadsheet while you sipped coffee over the weekend.

If you haven’t had a look through the program, and even if you have, you might not know that Broadsheet will be opening a cafe during the festival in March, and we’ve invited Melbourne’s best operators to run it. Dead Man Espresso, Market Lane, Proud Mary, Seven Seeds, Five Senses and The Premises will all be showcasing their unique roasts, tastes and techniques at this collaborative pop-up cafe. Basically we are going to take Broadsheet to the streets by way of a cup of coffee, so hopefully it’ll taste as good as we think it will.

During the 10-day festival, the Broadsheet Cafe will be holding daily events including cuppings, demonstrations and tastings. The location is still a secret so you’ll have to subscribe to the newsletter for updates on all of the above.

We’re really excited about the Broadsheet Cafe and are looking forward to having a cup of coffee with you then.
