What’s happening around town

• Cam Tay-Yap of Pebble and chef Hyemin “Amy” Jung of Common Era in Seoul (also known as “Little Giant” on Culinary Class Wars) are collaborating on a dinner this Sunday March 22 at Tay-Yap's North Melbourne restaurant. The four-course menu is $140 per person and includes a welcome drink.

• Bread Club is popping up at fashion and lifestyle boutique Mane by Stable in Collingwood from 10am to midday, on Monday March 23 to Sunday March 29. Drop in to pick up hot cross buns, cookies, vanilla saffron scrolls, baguettes and a pop-up-exclusive mini-fougasse. 

• Helly Raichura’s intimate restaurant Enter Via Laundry, which profiles underrepresented cuisines from across India, has just introduced its new menu. Raichura turns her attention to Rajasthani cuisine with a five- or 10-course menu that acts as a journey through different cities in the north-western state. Bikaner snacks and junglee maas (a Rajasthani curry) are served alongside cocktails designed by Tom McHugh of Caretaker’s Cottage.

• Sundays at Hot Listed wine bar Suze are all about pasta. The Fitzroy North wine bar now serves a changing $59 pasta-focused set menu on Sundays. “We don’t start planning it until Saturday and it has quietly become one of the most personal and creative parts of our week,” says co-founder Giulia Giorgetti. Bookings recommended.

• Poodle Bar & Bistro is throwing its last patio party for the season this Saturday March 21 from 1pm. To help celebrate, the Gertrude Street venue is collaborating with the team from Sydney Italian restaurant Avia. At 1pm, there’ll be a banquet by Avia chef Stefano Marano for $95 per person. Then, at 3pm, the patio party will really kick off, with DJ sets, drinks from Campbell Burton Wines and a more casual menu from Marano.
