Can’t handle a huge breakfast before work? Late night eatery The Meatball & Wine Bar are now opening their doors to Flinders Lane’s early birds with a new menu of bite-sized breakfast balls.

Like the dinner offerings, breakfast here is a mix-and-match affair, with a choice of creamy scrambled egg, egg with charred corn and aged cheddar or green eggs with salsa verde paired with your pick of Italian tomato sauce, hollandaise or pesto salsa verde.

Ballers can also bulk up their plate with sides of smoked salmon, mushrooms and taleggio, avocado or self-described ‘awesome grilled bacon’. The breakfast balls are served up as a trio of sliders, sandwiched between a sesame brioche bun.

Other breakfast options on offer include grilled corn cakes with spinach and ricotta, and panettone and muscatel balls that are rolled in honey and come served with organic vanilla bean yoghurt.

Need a caffeine hit with your breakfast? Coffee from Prahran roaster Dukes is on hand and freshly pressed orange and grapefruit juices are also available.

The Meatball & Wine Bar serves breakfast on weekdays from 7am to 11am, followed by the lunch and dinner menu, which is served seven days a week until 1am.
