Benny Burger is offering half-price burgers today at its two-month-old Richmond store.
All of the burgers offered at Benny are available at the discounted price until closing.
Chef Shannon Bennett – of Vue de Monde fame – spent three years on the project and says there is no other burger chain whose ingredients are all organic or ethically produced.
He spent four months aging cheddar prior to opening.
“To my surprise, there was no burger cheese at all made in Australia,” Bennett says. “I couldn’t believe it. That yellow burger cheese you get contains palm oil and food colours.”
It’s fast food, but Bennett is proud his product is Australian made and where possible locally sourced.
