Melbourne’s favourite pop-up floating bar Arbory Afloat reopened last month with a new 19-metre extension, a fresh Mediterranean-inspired design and colour palette (by Lucienne Hemingway of Curious by Design) and fragrant citrus trees dotted about the deck.

Now, another summer upgrade has been announced: a whole new level of buoyant summertime fun can be had on a brand new upper deck. The space has room for more than 100 guests with spectacular views across the Yarra, surrounded by leafy plane trees.

Knock back a jalapeno Margarita (Calle 23 tequila, jalapeno syrup, pink grapefruit) on one of the bookable day beds or couches; or for a classier affair, $620 will get you a magnum of champagne, a selection of woodfired pizzas, a seafood platter and antipasto.
