Abbotsford Convent Restaurants Cam’s Kiosk and Julie Have Closed

Cam’s Kiosk has been a fixture of Abbotsford Convent since it opened in 2009. The all-day venue from Cam Miller started as a small cafe, serving ice-cream and coffee, and eventually became a day-to-night wine bar, restaurant and hotspot frequented by the likes of Dua Lipa. In 2022, Miller expanded his convent reach with dreamy Hot Listed restaurant Julie. But today, Miller announced both venues have closed and entered voluntary liquidation.

“Despite exploring every avenue to continue operating, it is now no longer possible for both Julie and Cam’s to continue in their present form. The hospitality industry has faced significant challenges in recent years, and despite every effort to adapt, trading conditions ultimately proved unsustainable,” Miller wrote in a statement.

“Both businesses have now been handed over to liquidators and will go through the formal process,” Miller said.

“This is the end of a chapter that has meant a great deal to me personally, and one that I will always look back on with gratitude. We remain grateful to have been part of the Abbotsford Convent arts and hospitality community for so many years.”
