Hidden behind a series of black, colonial-style windows, Little Salon is one of few stores to have nested on the western of Gertrude Street.
Opened in 2003 by owner and designer Geneine Honey, Little Salon stocks a range of homewares, clothing and accessories, most under her own label Love. The clothing collection is made from noticeably high-quality fabrics. Her range of wooden and sterling silver broaches and necklaces are inspired by childhood friends and cute animals. All are displayed on or inside Edwardian wooden cabinets.
Cute babushka dolls will rescue the dreariest of mantelpieces and her toadstool pepper shakers and chalkboard wall hangings are bot pretty and practical. Soaps, stationary and lamps make well-priced gifts and, come Christmas, nativity calendars and other goodies help make the festive season just that.
Other labels include Skin and Threads, Secret Squirrel and bags by Nancy Bird.
We do not seek or accept payment from the cafes, restaurants, bars and shops listed in the Directory – inclusion is at our discretion. Venue profiles are written by independent freelancers paid by Broadsheet.
