Today UNIQLO announced plans for a third Melbourne store, to open at Ringwood’s Eastland in spring of this year.
The new store is part of the centre’s $665 million redevelopment, which includes more than 350 brands, along with Melbourne’s second H&M.
UNIQLO has become popular for its affordable, quality basics in a spectrum of colours, which includes its popular cashmere sweaters and ultra light down jackets. Since launching in Australia with its debut store in Emporium in April 2014, the brand opened a second store in Chadstone in September of that year. UNIQLO was established in Hiroshima, Japan in 1984, and now has more than 1500 stores worldwide.
Eastland is also bringing an array of popular eateries to the area for the first time, including Huxtaburger, Jimmy Grants Deluxe, Frank Camorra’s taqueria Paco’s Tacos, Tina’s Noodle Kitchen (from the Dainty Sichuan group) and Roti Road.
