Later this month Melbourne label Thurley will open their first retail store. Starting with a Melbourne Central boutique next to Scanlan & Theodore, the city store will be the first of two, with one to following later in the month at Westfield Shopping Centre.

The Thurley store concept, a collaboration with notable architects Russell & George, draws on tonal Thurley designs, featuring parquet panelled walls and flooring with inlayed mirror elements of bronze and silver. Creating a warm feminine interior, the city store has a stage set feel provided by suspended lighting, 1930’s French armchairs and tonal floor to ceiling curtains.

Expanding the range with accessories and footwear to be introduced in 2011, and a day wear collection of luxury knitwear in the pipeline, the label expansion will also see the launch of the first Thurley bridal boutique.
