A bunch of local Melbourne girls are joining forces for the public holiday to bring an array of preloved ‘80s and ‘90s treasures to Fur Hairdressing for one day only. ‘80s punk fashion designer Sara Thorn, stylist Thalea MV, photographer and fashion collector Jessie French, and P.A.M’s Shauna Toohey – just to name a few – are putting the contents of their stylish wardrobes up for sale at a fun, vintage affair. Labels such as YSL, Sergio Rossi, Stella McCartney, Pierre Cardin, Chloe, Issey Miyake, Max Mara, Comme Des Garcons, Cosmic Wonder, Nike and many more will be up for grabs, alongside designer bags, shoes, hats, jewellery and other “cool stuff” (cool stuff is always worth checking out, right?). Vintage Warehouse Sale

The gang from Yesteryear Vintage Clothing, is bringing more preloved pieces to the floor this weekend with yet another warehouse event. To help make way for new spring stock, the winter collection is being reduced with everything priced between $5 and $10. Retro skirts, dresses, knitwear, blouses, jackets, jeans, sheepskin coats, accessories and, of course, a little faux fur, will all be on offer. There won’t be any change rooms on-site, so make sure to wear tight clothing if you want to try items on. Cash and EFTPOS facilities will be available.

The spring/summer edition of Melbourne’s Finders Keepers market is happening this weekend. Arts and crafts, homewares, fashion, furniture, food and live music will fill the Royal Exhibition Building for the popular three-day event. This time round, a number of vintage clothing brands – Havally, Josie Stardust + Dizzy Miss Lizzy, Marci Vintage and Muscrats Vintage & Handcrafted included – are offering designer pieces without the designer price tag. Entry to the event is $2 (children under 12 are free).
