Not one to shy away from creative collaborations, nor the power of the print, Australian label Gorman has teamed up with Kit Cosmetics – saluted for their skills with packaging – to create a range for the colour-hungry among us.
Inspired by the soft animal prints, textured cut-outs and vivid hues of Gorman’s 2013 Autumn/Winter collection, the collaboration features three limited-edition shades of polish. Paint your tips with a lick of creamy ‘Almost Mauve’, a tangerine pop of ‘Orange.com’ or a moody ‘Clematis Blue’, all dolled up in neat, cylindrical boxes celebrating the clashing splashes of Gorman prints.
The collection sees blues mesh with shades of orange, lime green sitting pretty with a soft blush pink and strips and polka dots breaking out into starbursts and hexagonal outlines. All is just the way life should be – order, colour and chaos combined.
The collaboration also includes a run of nail strips in various prints, which adhere to the nail and won’t budge for five days. The team have also produced a pair of printed cotton socks in a lavender and orange leopard print (just so the other extremities weren’t forgotten) and a make-up case in a retro floral print to house all these lovely products.
Out of all of Gorman’s collaborations – and there have been many – this one has hit the nail on the head.
The full Kit x Gorman collection is available from Kit, Mecca Maxima and Gorman nationally from February 25.
