Though the idea of warm weather and sunshine may be far from where you are right now, summer collections have begun making their way into some of our favourite stores. And though it is with trepidation that you might consider getting into a swimsuit or running around with bare legs, it’s nice to while away time perusing pretty clothes we may wear in months to come, and maybe even trying them on under the heaters.
With this in mind, Gorman’s summer collection is beginning to drop into stores across the country. Their range features a trademark blend of utilitarian and feminine design principles: slouchy, cropped, pleated pants in salmon and blue, and high-waisted flared shorts that go nicely below shirts with ruffle trims and ruched sleeves.
There is a modern feminine take on the traditional 60s shape with this summer collection. It continues the retro references with 50s-inspired swimwear in high-rise bottoms with custom prints.
