What do you get when you mix happily idiosyncratic retailer and all round colour fanatic Dagmar Rousset with New York-based knitwear extraordinaire ALL Knitwear? A beautiful new breed of noisy, daring and oh so cosy knitwear.
It was only a matter of time before these talented ladies combined their love for brilliantly bizarre designs. Julia Pound, the woman behind the Dagmar Rousset alter ego and boutique, has been stocking ALL Knitwear since her first day of trading. In fact Dagmar was Annie Larson from ALL Knitwear’s first international stockist.
ALL Knitwear is known for its unique, colourful sweaters. Every piece ALL Kitwear produces is designed, knit and linked with love by Larson on a Brother KH-965i knitting machine.
“I love Annie Larson's work because it is the kind of clothing I have wanted to wear my whole life but couldn't find anywhere. Wearing ALL makes me feel like there is less of a disconnect between the inside (my brain) and the outside (my attire),” says Pound.
Pound had the idea of launching a range that would reflect both Dagmar and ALL, a concept that Larson embraced wholeheartedly.
The collection is the outcome of a myriad of email communications and revisions, as is expected when collaborating with someone on the other side of the planet. All the pieces in the range feature the sweet ‘bye-bye’ hand motif and are finished with carefully thought out collar, sleeve and cuff colour combinations. The range includes a dress, jumper and skirt, and is available exclusively in Dagmar Rousset’s boutique and online store.
This limited range is an endangered species and it won’t be long before it is extinct.
