This morning, Canadian singer The Weeknd announced a new list of four worldwide pop-up shops. One of them is in Melbourne.

The shop will open at Melbourne Central from November 25 to 27.

The merch stores are creating buzz in the lead up to the release of the musician’s third album, Starboy, which drops on November 25. This is the second time The Weeknd has opened international pop-ups; the first were in in New York, LA, Miami and London earlier this month.

Judging from those first openings, the store will sell clothing (the first stores sold denim jackets, bombers, long-sleeved tees and caps) emblazoned with The Weeknd’s name and album art.

It’s a similar concept to Kanye West’s much-hyped Pablo pop-ups, one of which recently came to Brunswick Street and had fans camping out for up to 15 hours for merch.
