Opening just two weeks ago, new multi-label boutique Treasurette lovingly devotes itself to international and luxury shoes, bags and accessories. The window proudly flaunts leopard print Aperlaï flats (encompassing the label’s thoughtful alliance of comfort and sensuality), the towering, architectural heels of Finsk and the romantic, nostalgic silk scarves of Vassilisa.
The exclusive Australian stockist of this clutch of sought after international labels, Treasurette has already garnered a strong following. The store also embraces the celeb-turned-designer movement, boasting labels like House of Harlow 1960 by Nicole Richie and Elizabeth and James by the Olsen twins.
This LA glam semblance is further articulated by the fit-out of the store. Signage beams in the form of a pink fluorescent light on the back wall, while shoes rest on matching pink placemats. A staircase at the back of the space leads to a chalkboard painted wall with hopes of displaying the illustrations of up and coming Melbourne artists. Upstairs, shoes tower in tissue lined boxes, ready to be matched with a stunning, outfit from local label Nevenka.
At this point, Treasurette is 80 per cent stocked, with ranges from labels such as Repetto still to come. Treasurette won’t be keeping old stock either, there’s a definite desire to remain on-trend, playing host only to current seasons and ensuring that we only ever put our best shoe forward.
