The team behind Sunday Morning Designs is the nomadic sort. Founders Lichen Kemp and Jitske Wiersma have had pop-up spaces in Northcote and Brunswick East, and are now settling in Gertrude Street until December.
Curated with a focus on local independent designers, the Gertrude Street pop-up features Sunday Morning’s signature children’s bed linen designed in-house by artist Dylan Martorell, as well as a range of clothing by Melbourne-based labels including Rafaella Mcdonald, Bhalo and Monolog. A range of batik pieces from the Sunday Morning team’s travels in Indonesia also make the cut.
Getting ahead of the upcoming holiday season, the Sunday Morning pop-up also stocks a range of gift-worthy accessories, homewares and more; including graphic novels and books from Nobrow Press and Perimeter Distribution, as well as jewellery by Anna Varendorff and Victoria Mason.
