Paypal Melbourne Fashion Festival is back for another year and, for the first time in its history, the program spans two weeks of runways, panel discussions, workshops and performances.
The opening runway at Carlton’s Royal Exhibition Building on Monday night saw Australia’s design trailblazers – including Aje, Anna Quan, Bianca Spender, Martin Grant, Ngali, Oroton and Victoria & Woods – take to the stage. Supermodel Elle Macpherson also made her catwalk return after 14 years.
Broadsheet photographer Liana Hardy had her eye off the runway too, capturing some of the best street style looks around town during the first week of MFF.
Statement handbags ruled the forecourt. Green continues to reign. And layers were loud and textured. We also spied Swiftie-inspired sequins, quilted bows and a brooch renaissance. Did we get a snap of you?
