Street Style: High-Octane Fashion Was the Formula at This Year’s Glamour on the Grid

A clutch of Melbourne’s media, sport and entertainment personalities (and the city’s fashion-forward cohort) swapped the runway for the race track on Wednesday night for the launch of the Formula 1 Australia Grand Prix. Glamour on the Grid has become one of the city’s hottest nights out, with guests including Australian race car drivers, AFL players, fashion designers and international models.

The party started in the pit lane – and high-octane glamour was the unofficial theme. Swathes of local personalities donned voluminous gowns in colours spanning the entire spectrum. Cut-outs were daring, tuxedos were sharp and embellished details plentiful.
