An up-and-coming Melbourne designer opens a pop-up space in the city.

There’s now an additional pocket of colour in Cathedral Arcade – new pop-up store, Shuh. During March you’ll find Melbourne designer Shuh Lee’s patterned dresses, homewares and textural jewellery on the mezzanine level of Limedrop.

Similar to Gorman or Arro Home, Shuh designs are an explosion of pastel prints and tongue-in-cheek humour (see the bright-yellow, stringy Ramen Earrings).

After studying fashion design at RMIT, Lee found herself digging into her craft box and selling her products at the Craft Hatch market. Things gradually evolved from there.

Lee’s store includes pillowcases, tea towels, wrapping paper, scarves, tote bags and wall prints.

“Most of my products are created because I just don’t have the heart to throw things with beautiful colours on them away,” says Lee. This often leads to unusual creations, such as her giant ropes – perfect for a wall display.

Shuh Pop-Up Shop will run until March 31 in the mezzanine level of Limedrop, Shop 5, Cathedral Arcade, Melbourne.
