L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival wrapped-up for another year last week after 8 days of runway shows, business seminars and special events. The centrepiece of this consumer-oriented event is the program of group runway shows where Australian (and the occasional New Zealander) designers show their current winter ranges. From the commercial nature of the Cosmopolitan and Madison runways to the high fashion of the vogue.com.au show (our personal highlight), every reach of the fashion spectrum was catered for. There was also the zaniness of Penthouse Mouse, the glamour of Dita Von Teese’s lingerie show, a glimpse at the up-and-comers at the Graduate Showcase and the breathtaking beauty of the final day’s Toni Maticevski Red Carpet Runway.

Our photographers were there to catch all the best moments and we’ve put together a gallery of our highlights of the week. The LMFF Cultural Program continues for the rest of March, so there’s still a chance to catch fashion-oriented events all over town.
