Friday the 27th of August is Daffodil Day – a day that celebrates life, and remembers those who have lost theirs to cancer. It is also a day to raise money for cancer research, prevention programs and support services for cancer patients and their families, and is now the largest fundraising event in the southern hemisphere.
This year some of Australia’s most notable fashion designers have come together to make some exclusive pieces for ‘Designers For Daffodil Day’. Designers including Akira Isogawa, Arthur Galan, Bettina Liano, Camilla Franks, JASONGRECH, Gail Elliot, Jayson Brunsdon and Rachel Gilbert have each donated a yellow garment, inspired by the colour of the daffodil.
Throughout August, people can vote for their favourite designer item for the chance to win a $1000 Mimco voucher, or make a contribution to Daffodil Day to go in the draw to win one of the exclusively designed yellow frocks.
