Puppy dress-ups with a purpose.

If you've ever wanted to dress up your pup and strut them down a makeshift catwalk (dogwalk?), now's your chance. The YWCA is hosting a dog parade fundraiser on March 26, with all funds going to women’s housing, mentoring, educational, advocacy and cultural projects.

The categories? Dog Most Like Its Owner, Best Costume, Sexiest Senior Citizen, Cutest Puppy, Most “Unique Beauty” Award, Best Trick, Coolest Hairstyle and Most Adorable Adoption.

The YWCA, Victoria's oldest women's charity, started hosting these puppy parade fundraisers in the 1930s, and 80 years later, demand for dogs in costume hasn't waned.

This year's parade will be hosted by comedian Rose Callaghan, and will include food and market stalls.

Attendance is free but registration is $20. The event will run from 1pm to 4pm on Sunday March 26.
