Wine Not? – the Arts Centre’s end-of-summer music series – returns over two consecutive Friday nights on February 22 and March 1.
It’s the second of iteration of the outdoor series, which is held in the courtyard of The Barre restaurant that occupies the space beneath the spire – on the curve overlooking the Yarra and the Melbourne skyline.
The line-up of international and local DJs is curated by electronic label WAT Artists. Week one will feature DJ sets from dance duo Cut Copy’s Dan Whitford (who started out as a hip-hop scratch DJ), and producer Cooper Saver and DJ Alison Swing, both of whom are LA-based.
Week two is all Melburnians, with DJ sets from euphoric five-piece Total Giovanni, prog-dance legends Midnight Juggernauts and disco-loving DJ Whiskey Houston.
The nights’ “pink on pink on pink” aesthetic is courtesy of organisers Rosé Rosé, which will be serving rosé spritzes, too. There will also be ready-to-go Melbourne Martini cocktails, and beers from craft brewery Grand Ridge Brewery.
A team of make-up artists from Yves Saint Laurent Beauté will also be at the party, bringing a lipstick-filled vending machine with them and offering touch ups.
From 5pm to 10pm.
