The Wind in the Willows
Over the past three decades the Australian Shakespeare Company’s outdoor theatre production of Kenneth Grahame’s The Wind in the Willows has become somewhat of a Melbourne institution.
Countless kids and grown ups have traipsed through the Royal Botanic Gardens led by the head chief rabbit to watch the timeless children’s classic brought to life.
Ratty, Mole, Badger, Otter, Portly and the inimitable Mr Toad deliver music and laughter on the riverbank in this interactive performance, where everyone’s invited to scream out loud and sing along.
In true The Wind in the Willows style, picnics and dress-ups are encouraged.
Performances run at various times. More information here.
