It’s hard to save for a home. If you're lucky enough to ever buy one, you still have to furnish it. And pay it off.
The Royal Melbourne Hospital is offering one extremely lucky winner a different option. The latest grand prize in the Home Lottery will see someone win a fully furnished home in Kew. And not just any home. The $4.9 million four-bedroom property is situated on a 650-square-metre block at 112 Willsmere Road, Kew. It comes with a fireplace, a pool, kitchen with marble stone benchtops, high-ceilings, floor to ceiling windows and light oak-coloured floorboards.
There’s also a sitting room, open-plan living and dining area, alfresco setting, and upstairs retreat with a study space. The master bedroom suite features double marble stone vanities, a free-standing bathtub, a walk-in shower and floor to ceiling tiles. Designed in collaboration with Webster Architecture & Nathan Burkett Landscape Architecture, the house also comes fitted out with custom designed furniture from Melbourne-based curator Ajar.
There’s no strings attached here. As a Royal Melbourne Hospital Home Lottery Grand Prize winner, you receive your new home free, with the fees involved with the property transfer such as stamp duty and title taxes, paid for by the Royal Melbourne Hospital Foundation. Plus, the grand prize winner also receives $100,000 worth of gold on top the house. Phwoar.
