Coming off the back of a successful pop-up at Gertrude Street’s Enoteca, Ella Mittas – a chef who runs cooking classes and one-off dinners inspired by her culinary research trips around the world – is hosting a Greek five-course vegan feast.
Mittas is teaming up with Jessica Prescott, author of the hugely popular Wholy Goodness vegan food blog, and cookbook Vegan Goodness.
Inspired by Mittas’s Greek heritage and time in Turkey, and Prescott’s recent trip to Crete, the duo will serve a dinner with drinks at Brunswick East’s East Elevation. The cafe regularly hosts vegan dinners, but this is the first time a guest chef has taken the reigns.
The Mediterranean menu will include Cretan tomato and rice salad, fava dip made with yellow split peas, and a Turkish wheat salad with stone fruit and pistachios. Special dietary needs can be accommodated on request.
Tickets are $60 plus booking fee, and drinks can be bought on the night.
Dinner is from 7pm–10pm, so tell yia yia you’re booked up.
