Postponed: Welcome to the Jungle at Queen Victoria Market
This event has been postponed due to coronavirus concerns.
There are plant-based events. Then there’s Welcome to the Jungle. For one night only, some of Melbourne’s very best chefs are coming together to turn Queen Victoria Market’s Shed X into an enormous plant-based dinner party.
Spearheading the night will be Shannon Martinez, who has helped turn Fitzroy’s Smith & Daughters into one of Australia’s most celebrated vegan restaurants. Joining her will be Annam’s Jerry Mai, Bar Saracen’s Joseph Abboud and Tom Sarafian, and Atlas Dining’s Charlie Carrington, among others. Booze will be shaken by the barkeeps from enormously popular (and now city-based) tiki bar The LuWow.
A $25-ticket gets you entry and includes all-night entertainment and live music, with food and drinks available for purchase. Note: not only is the event meatless, it’s also cashless. Bring your bank card.
From 5pm to 10pm.
