On a side street just off Sydney Road, Unassigned Gallery runs weekly life drawing sessions, open to all skill levels, every Monday night. The multi-purpose creative space aims to platform emerging and unseen talent through exhibitions, film screenings, facilitated crafternoons, DJ nights and more catered towards marginalised groups.
Led by artist Gabriella Bartolo-Kanellopoulos and gallery founder and director Nour Abdullatif, budding hobbyists and seasoned creatives alike are encouraged to join the two-hour, loosely guided life drawing classes, featuring a rotating line-up of models from the Unassigned community.
Snacks, tea and materials are all provided. You’re encouraged to slow down and respond to the human form as creatively as you wish. The gallery also occasionally hosts community exhibitions where you can submit your scribbles.
Tickets start at $17 for individuals or $27 for duos, with free entry for First Nations attendees.
