Sold Out: Waterfront: Metung Hot Springs Pop-Up Bathing and Tour
It was the early ’90s when East Gippsland’s Metung Hot Springs, set among rolling hills, closed. But – nearly three decades later – the team behind Fingal’s wildly popular Peninsula Hot Springs is in the process of redeveloping the site.
Once again, a 500-metre-deep bore is producing geothermal mineral water at a balmy 45 degrees Celsius. And phase one of the development includes a marina with lakeside bathing, floating saunas and hot-spring pools.
As part of Open House Melbourne’s Waterfront program, in East Gippsland for Melbourne Design Week, the team is doing a pop-up bathing experience and site tour on April 3. Hear all about how the site is changing and the benefits of geothermal water, then get an opportunity to bathe in the springs while lapping up idyllic views of the Gippsland Lakes.
It’s free to attend, but registration is required here.
From 2pm to 4pm.
