WAT Artists Residency at W Melbourne
After the live music and bar-going pause that was 2020, new Flinders Lane hotel W Melbourne is launching with an array of reasons to celebrate local talent this autumn.
The new luxury hotel is collaborating with Melbourne-based artist management WAT Artists (whose roster includes Andras, Claire Morgan, Andy Garvey, Fantastic Man and Myles Mac) to deliver a DJ residency on Thursday nights throughout March and April.
WAT represents DJs, bands and producers in the electronic realm. Each week for seven weeks, one artist from its stable of both established and new names will take to the decks at W Melbourne’s cocktail lounge Curious.
Opening the residency on Thursday March 4 is the eclectic Millú (aka Milly Davison), who have previously played Golden Plains, Inner Varnika and Hopkins Creek. Club circuit fave In2stellar is also slated to play, but when – and the remainder of the residency – will remain a mystery until each week’s announcement.
Curious features an extensive array of local craft booze on its lengthy cocktail list and small plates will keep you sated and let you linger long into the night.
