Vinomofo's Lucky Dip Dozen
Online wine merchant Vinomofo is releasing the new edition of its Lucky Dip wine cases on Friday September 14 and six wine lovers will get a very special surprise – a $700 bottle of 1995 Penfolds Grange Shiraz.
With 600 Lucky Dip mixed-dozen cases to going on sale, that gives you a one per cent chance at scoring a historic bottle.
Penfolds Grange is one of the most celebrated wines in the world and was named a South Australian heritage icon in 2001. Each bottle is a collector’s item. Depending on the quality of that year's vintage, some bottles go on to sell for thousands at auction.
Also included in some cases is what Vinomofo is calling "Black Market Shiraz" – secret bottles the retailer is keeping under wraps. There’s a 2012 shiraz worth $185 that punters will have a three per cent chance of finding, and a 2013 shiraz worth $120 that will be in five per cent of the cases.
Lucky Dip mixed-dozen cases are priced at $149.
Good luck. The Vinomofo Lucky Dip Dozen will go live on its website between 9am and 11am.
