In March 2020, aptly named Victorian wine label Viino Quarantino started selling ridiculously cheap two-litre flagons of wine. They were just $25 each.
Since then, the prices have gone up. But the team is throwing it back to the OG bargain price for a huge online warehouse sale. Until March 4 (or sold out), you can get two litres of summery rosé, crisp verdelho or silky cabernet sauvignon for just $25.
They’re a certifiable bargain. One flagon is equivalent to about 2.5 standard wine bottles – that’s around 13 glasses. And it works out to less than $2 a glass.
As well as the sale, the label has launched a new picnic-perfect range of canned natural wines in collaboration with Jake Winther from Central Victoria’s Trutta Wines. There’s a pretty pink rosé and a sparkling shiraz; it’s $38 for four 250-millilitre cans.
Now might be a good time to replenish your wine stocks.
