Victoria and The World Tasting Room
This tasting event during the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival gathers experts to showcase cheese from around the world, paired with wine from more than 20 Australian and overseas vineyards.
Hosted at event space White Lane in the CBD, Victoria and The World Tasting Room invites guests to sample the best from a handpicked selection of local and international cheesemakers. Participants include US cheese producers Jasper Hill Farm, Uplands Cheese, and Rogue Creamery, who's founder David Gremmels is making the rare trip out to Australia to assist with the tasting of his cheeses. UK’s Neal’s Yard Dairy will also be on hand, as will Australian cheese connoisseur Will Studd. Host of the cult TV series Cheese Slices, Studd will share his selected favourites. Anthony Femia, the award-winning cheese expert behind Prahran Market’s Maker and Monger, will also be on-site with his mobile cheese cart dishing up cheese-infused snacks.
Entry ticket includes a wine and cheese tasting, and a pop-up crémerie gives guests the chance to purchase the wine and cheese being sampled on the night.
Held on Saturday March 24, there are two sessions, 12.00pm and 5.30pm.
