Carlton’s historic Hotel Lincoln is hosting three of Melbourne’s best booze producers on Sunday August 25.
Broaden your repertoire with free tastings of Maidenii vermouth, Marionette liqueurs and Melbourne Gin Company gins. Full pours will also be available to buy, as will a few $12 cocktails (each made with booze from all three producers).
It’ll be hungry work. Publican Iain Ling, who also owns playful Chinese diner Super Ling around the corner, and chef Howard Stamp have concocted a bar menu especially for this event. Snack on ginger-dressed oysters, Nardin anchovy with roasted peppers and aioli on lavosh, grilled leek with romesco sauce and truffles, warm lardo on toast with pickles and capers, pate en croute (a puff pastry loaf stuffed with terrine), and sausage rolls with tomatillo relish.
Entry is free. From 1pm to 4pm.
