Vegetables for Dinner at Congress
Last time, Collingwood wine bar Congress collaborated with the nearby Stomping Grounds Brewing Co for a beer-centric menu. Now it has partnered with Northside Fruit & Vegetables to bring diners a five-course meal revolving around locally sourced vegetables.
Featured dishes include salt-baked beets with cashew cream and horseradish, a sticky rice cake with mushrooms and black garlic, and radishes plucked from Congress’s own community garden served with sunflower tahini and chickpea wafers. Wine pairings will show off some of the best low-intervention producers Australia has to offer.
Northside Fruit and Vegetables also supplies some of Melbourne’s favourite eateries, such as St Ali, Bomba and Smith & Daughters to name a few, where they showcase their commitment to seasonal, local fruit and veg.
