Bicycle Network’s annual ride around Port Phillip Bay is back for another year.

United Energy Around the Bay returns this year for another day of riding and entertainment around Melbourne’s Port Phillip Bay. Participants can choose from seven ride options, with something for bike riders of all levels.

Designed especially for families, the 17-kilometre Family Ride starts and finishes at Albert Park, with riders completing up to three laps around the lake, with activities and entertainment for the kids along the way. It’s a great day out for the whole family – and participants aged 14 and under ride for free.

The 220-kilometre Around the Bay Classic route covers the entire Port Phillip Bay coastline, travelling through the Bellarine Peninsula, Queenscliff, Sorrento and the Mornington Peninsula. Riders can tackle the 50-kilometre or 100-kilometre options to ride over the West Gate Bridge, or choose the 135-kilometre route for a Geelong start. Not to mention the coveted 300-kilometre loop that additionally travels through the Point Nepean National Park, tackling the Arthurs Seat climb before heading through Flinders and back to the main ride at Dromana.

Like all of Bicycle Network’s rides, United Energy Around the Bay provides comprehensive support throughout the journey, with rest stops, nutrition, hydration, plus medical and mechanical support. All you need to do is enjoy the ride and soak up the celebrations at the finish line.
