Troppo Art Mart
From September 13 to 15 the first-ever Troppo Art Mart will be held at Backwoods Gallery.
Involved are a motley crew of visual artists, ceramicists, fashion designers, printmakers, zinesters, self-publishers and bookmakers – both local and international – who will commandeer the space for three days. There'll be installations across the gallery, and you'll also be able to buy some of their creations.
The line-up includes print studios The Archivist from Thailand and Krack from Indonesia, as well as Sydney’s O.Z.O and Ryan Hancock. Melburnians on the bill include OK Books, Matt Sanders, Spooky Books, Sam O Farrell, To Barwyn and Back, Planet Destroy and Troppo Print Studio (which is curating the event).
At the opening party on Friday night there’ll be beers by Bodriggy Brewing Co and Choya umeshu (plum wine), and tunes by Flashback Rave Committee. There’ll also be artist workshops and presentations all weekend.
Entry is free.
