Together, We Feast at James Squire Brewhouses
Adam Roberts knows a thing or two about barbecuing. The award-winning co-founder and former general manager of the Australasian Barbecue Alliance has authored two best-selling barbecue books and regularly teaches masterclasses around the fundamentals of wood-fired cooking and pitmastery. Over one weekend in October, Adam is teaming up with James Squire for two fiery afternoons of barbecue and beer.
Taking place across two James Squire Brewhouses – Melbourne CBD’s The Crafty Squire on Saturday October 28 and Frankston’s The Cheeky Squire on Sunday October 29 – Together, We Feast celebrates the iconic pairing of James Squire beers and barbecued delights.
The bespoke three-course menu features flatbreads, dips and a grazing plate to start; low-and-slow sticky pork ribs, reverse seared scotch fillets, slaw, beer-battered fries and flame-grilled veggies for mains; and ‘beeramisu’ (tiramisu made with James Squire porter) for dessert. Food will be paired with a selection of four James Squire beers.
Over the course of the afternoon there’ll also be live demonstrations, presentations and an opportunity to get up close and personal with the pitmaster himself – with Adam guiding guests to create their own meat rub.
