Tinsel Christmas Dinner by Scratch Arts
Ho ho ho – queer and contemporary arts and events collective Scratch Arts is hosting Christmas dinner, but not as you’d expect it.
It’s a meal, comedy show and drag performance all in one, sure to have you laughing all the way.
Drag queens will be serving looks alongside a holiday dinner inspired by different cuisines – including Lebanese bread with hummus, panko-crumbed mushroom arancini, tea-smoked salmon, slow-cooked beef brisket with red-wine glaze, tandoori chicken, polenta triangles, a Middle Eastern grain salad and cheesy corn on the cob with chipotle butter. And for dessert: chocolate, pecan and bourbon pie, pavlova cups with passionfruit, berries and cream, and fresh summer fruit.
Performers include Vin Tagè, Uff the Queen, Dazza and Keif, and comedian Lou Wall, with DJ Jack Hardmën down from Sydney to take charge of tunes.
Shows run on December 14, 15 and 20–23. Doors open at 5.30pm for a 6.15pm start.
Early bird tickets cost $95, with general admission at $125 closer to the date.
