Theodore&I Label Launch and Pop-Up
Clifton Hill designer Kat Hamer is launching her new label Theodore&I with a week-long pop-up before launching the label's online store.
Theodore&I specialises in handmade linen pinafore skirts with a focus on sustainability, durability and slow-fashion production. Overlockers are abandoned for French seams – a technique where an extra seam is stitched to hide the fabric's raw edges and to prevent fraying. Mock ups made in the design process are fashioned from bed linen picked up from thrift stores. Buttons on the garments are hand sewn, and are often vintage finds. The fabrics tend to be end-of-run or remnants.
The dresses and skirts are made to order so this pop-up is a rare chance to buy a piece off the rack or to pick up samples.
From 11am to 6pm daily.
