Great Australian Beer SpecTAPular
What do you get when you bring bacon, doughnuts, hemp flour, sake, rum, gin, Tim Tams, popcorn, agave and edible green ants together? A festival of beer and cider, apparently. The above ingredients are all things you'll find in some of the brews at this extravaganza.
One of Australia’s leading beer festivals, the Great Australian Beer SpecTAPular is back and it's not messing around. The festival brings together more than 170 beers and ciders from the best breweries across Australia and New Zealand.
Some of Melbourne's favourite food trucks and vendors, including Bluebonnet BBQ, Biggie Smalls and Leonard's House of Love – as well as coffee roasters, tea houses, gin and whisky distillers and biscuit makers – are also coming along.
Even if beer isn't your drink of choice, there'll be plenty to do and see. The Little Creatures House of Fun will stock vintage card games and offer mini-golf and hay-bale bowling, and a giant beer-can piñata will be full of surprises. There will also be a scavenger hunt, a bar with DJs and burger chefs, and a silent disco.
