Brunswick’s popular Indian eatery Bhang's next Thali Nights dinner will be Kerala-focused.
Thali Nights is a chance to sample regional Indian cuisines. Each diner receives a Thali platter (vegan or non-vegetarian) carrying a selection of small dishes – all are one-offs, not usually available to order from the menu.
On Kerala night, the dishes will include parippu thalichathu (a green-pea dhal with aniseed, coconut and mustard seeds) and a Malabar lamb curry with tomato, potatoes, cinnamon, cardamom and cloves.
Beers will be matched to spicy dishes, and a range of Indian-inspired cocktails will be available, or a Bhang lassi (green apple and cinnamon with hemp seeds).
Thanks to the popularity of past Thali Nights dinners, this one will be run across three sessions. The first will run 5.30pm–7pm, and early patrons will be greeted with a free pot beer or lassi. The second is 7pm–8.30pm, and the last runs 8.30pm until late.
Gluten-free meals can be accommodated, but strict fructose-conscious meals are not available.
