Terasu Japanese Dining Pop-Up at Portsea Hotel
Offering sweeping vistas of Port Phillip Bay, the Portsea Hotel is one of the most picturesque spots to stay along the Mornington Peninsula. The destination venue is only a ten-minute drive from Portsea’s scenic surf beach and close to world-class wineries, craft breweries, and idyllic cafes.
The iconic hotel is now offering the ideal summer escape with sun, sea, and sushi, as it hosts beloved Townsville Japanese restaurant Terasu. During the three-week pop-up, dubbed Terasu at Portsea, guests will be treated to a six-course set menu paired with sake and tropical Tokyo-style cocktails for just $150 per person.
The menu has been created by esteemed chef in residence Yukio Ozeki, who heads the Terasu kitchen. Courses include dishes like a karaage (fried) chicken topped with a spicy sichuan mayo, a Wagyu striploin with wasabi butter, and an array of sushi showcasing high quality, sustainable seafood.
On the drinks menu, there are summery cocktails like the Tokyo Glow, made with sake, vodka, ginger, grape, and yuzu jelly. Accompanying the cocktails is a curated selection of Japanese sake and local and European wine.
In an exclusive offer, Broadsheet is giving one lucky Access member the chance to win an all-inclusive stay for four at the hotel on Thursday January 16. After being treated to drinks and Terasu’s multi-course experience, you’ll stay the night in two deluxe suites. The next day, you’ll enjoy a light breakfast and coffee from the Portsea Hotel Alimentari, before hitting the road to explore the local scenery.
