Dine Out: Tokyo Lamington x Continental Deli Laming’tin

You won’t find better neighbours than Tokyo Lamington and Continental Deli on Australia Street in Newtown. The former is loved for its inventive spins on the classic Aussie bakery item; the latter, famous for its peerless cheese and charcuterie selection, European dishes, and cocktail canning machine.

Now, the bakery and iconic Sydney date spot have joined forces for a delicious collaboration: say hello to the Laming’tin, created exclusively for Broadsheet ’s debut Dine Out festival.

This limited-edition treat brings together what each venue is best known for, and sees jam, chocolate and coconut layered inside a Continental tin – the place where you’d usually find a Mar-tinny, Can-hattan or Cosmopoli-tin.

But the hits keep on coming. Conti Deli has also created a Cheese and Charcuterie Pie: a flaky pastry filled with house-cured meats, cheeses and pickles. It’s like a deli plate in your hand – but it won’t be around for long.

Both items are available during Dine Out at Tokyo Lamington’s Melbourne and Sydney cafes, and at Continental Deli.
