Winter calls for a warming bourbon. That’s exactly what will be served up on this foot tour of toasty bars and some of the city’s finest bourbon-based cocktails.
Sip & Stroll will be a tasting experience hosted by Beam Suntory ambassadors Tom Scott and Bill Bewsher. Under their tutelage, guests will get to know the ins and outs of bourbon: its history, production and the particulars of each drink served. They’ll also get the chance to interact with some of Melbourne’s best bartenders and gain a deeper appreciation of cocktail making, learning more about labels such as Maker’s Mark and Basil Hayden’s.
The night begins at the Siglo rooftop bar (above The Melbourne Supper Club). Then it’s on to the intimate Seamstress bar on Lonsdale Street, followed by a short walk to the laid-back and well-equipped Boilermaker House by the revered Eau de Vie team. To finish, the tour will be coaxed underground to Beneath Driver Lane to savour the old-world vibe of the evening. Guests will be served bourbon-based cocktails at each stop and tapas-style dishes at Boilermaker House.
Tours are running on Thursday June 27. There are two sessions with only 12 spaces available on each day, starting at 6pm and 6.30pm.
From 6pm to 9pm.
